Weekend Events: July 19th Edition


Happy Friday, Eastie! Eastie Week is wrapping up this weekend but we still have a handful of fun events planned! Some events have been postponed due to the heat advisory, so make sure to double check on eastienow.org.

Free  kayaking at Constitution Beach is happening! Kayaks are available for use from 11am-5pm Thursdays-Sundays through August.


The next Fair Foods $2 produce event at the EBNHC is today from 2:30-4pm. Remember, this is a first-come, first-served, CASH ONLY event.


The 2nd Annual Maverick Community Connect kicks off at 5pm. There will be food, music, activities, community-building activities, etc!


There is a community potluck dinner at ZUMIX from 6-8pm. This week’s theme is breakfast so bring your favorite breakfast dish and come visit with the neighbors and ZUMIX staff.


The Salesian Boys & Girls Club is hosting Summer Teen Nights from 6-9pm. Teens ages 13-18 are welcome to attend and join in games such as cornhole, basketball, and wiffleball. There will be BBQ and music, too! This will run every Friday night through August.


The 2nd Annual Marine and Maritime Festival at Constitution Beach is on Saturday, July 20th, from 11am-3pm. There will be TONS of fun for all ages. It will be a perfect day to enjoy the festival and hit up the beach for swimming!


The next community class at The Point EB kicks off at 12pm.


There will be an EBOM from 11am-4pm at the Eddy on Sunday, July 21st. This is a special Eastie Week edition.


The next ZUMIX Summer Concert Series will be at Piers Park from 6-8pm.


The next Fresh Truck mobile food market will be down Maverick Square from 3-6pm on Monday, July 22nd.


GSCA’s monthly meeting starts at 6:30pm.


The next PLAN: East Boston meeting will be from 7-10am on Wednesday, July 24th. The theme of this meeting is Small Business Round Table.


The East Boston Farmers Market is back! Swing by Central Square Park every Wednesday from 3-6pm and load up on some fruits and veggies. There will be free summer eats for kids under 18 and kids activities as well.


The next Wednesday night Zumba Class runs from 6:30-7:30pm at the Marty Pino gym.


The next Senior Social Club is meeting at the library from 1-3pm on Thursday, July 25th.


Friends of the EBG’s monthly meeting is from 6:30-7:30pm.


There is a free Life’s A Beach community event at Constitution Beach on Friday, July 26th. Festivities start at 10am and include games, kayaking, sand art, food, and more!
