Weekend Events: June 9th Edition

Happy Thursday, Eastie!  The warm weather has arrived (finally)! Take a look below at what’s going on around the neighborhood this weekend.

 


Tonight from 6:30-8:30pm there is a historical overview of East Boston with author Anthony Sammarco at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Also starting at 6:30pm is the public meeting to discuss the proposed project of 10-16 Everett St.

Both tomorrow, June 9th and Saturday, June 10th, the East Boston Playhouse is presenting the play, Steel Magnolias.  Showtimes are at 7pm on the 9th and both 2pm & 7pm on the 10th.  This is an awesome way to support local artists while enjoying a great show!

On Saturday, June 10th, Samuel Adams Elementary is hosting a yard sale in their school yard area from 10am-1pm.

There will also be a community flea market at the Central Assembly of God Church from 10am-4pm.

On Monday, June 12th, there will be an Immigrant and Refugee Community Forum at the VRCC from 6-8pm.  Come learn how city departments are supporting immigrant communities and share your ideas with Boston City Official.  Mayor Walsh will be in attendance as well.

The EBNHC’s 5th Annual Art of Health Care Celebration will be on Tuesday, June 13th, from 5-8pm.  The event includes a reception, silent auction, and guided art tours.
