Weekend Events: March 24th Edition
Happy Thursday, Eastie! Spring has officially arrived, although it doesn’t feel like it today.. Brrr. Take a look at what we’ve got going on starting this weekend. Saturday is a super busy day in Eastie, fun for all ages!
Running both tonight and tomorrow night at 6pm is the Donald McKay School’s production of The Jungle Book. Admission is free but donations are accepted!
Also tonight at 6pm is the free screening of the movie, 13th, at ZUMIX.
If you’re looking for a cozy kid-free night, join other Eastie moms as they gather together tonight in an Eastie living room and enjoy each other’s company from 7:30-9pm.
On Friday, March 24th, there will be Spring Coffee Hours from 5-7pm at Maverick Landing. Come meet your neighbors and enjoy coffee and pastries.
At 9:30am on Saturday morning, March 25th, the next Kids in the Kitchen class will be meeting at the Salesians. This is a girls only class for those in grades 2-6.
From 10-11am the Harbor Clean up crew will be meeting at the Condor St. Urban Wild. Dress warm and comfortable!
Also at 10am is the Ready, Set, Grow event with Eastie Farm being held at the library. All ages are welcome to attend this seed starting event.
There is an author talk Saturday afternoon at the library from 2-4pm with Ellen Alden, author of Yours Faithfully, Florence Burke.
Saturday night from 4-10pm the Veronica Robles Cultural Center is offering Fandango music and dance workshops and a celebration event to follow.
Next Wednesday, March 29th, there will be a second Spring Coffee Hours gathering from 9:30-11:30am.
The Eagle Hill Civic Association’s monthly meeting will also be Wednesday from 7-9pm.
