Weekend Events: November 10th Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend (and a long weekend for many)! But most importantly, Happy Veteran’s Day and many many thanks to all who have served this country proudly. You rock!
The next multicultural Friday film at the library is today at 3pm. Showing will be PG + PG-13 movies that celebrate immigrants and countries around the world.. And popcorn will be served!
VRCC is hosting the 12th Annual Student Immigration Movement tonight from 6-8pm.
Maverick Square Acupuncture is hosting a free fibromyalgia workshop tomorrow, November 11th, at 10am.
The next Classes for a Cause is from 12-1pm at The Point EB. This month the donation-based classes benefit NamaStay Sober.
On Monday, November 13th, the Fresh Truck Mobile Food Market will be down Maverick Square from 4-7pm.
The library is hosting their first ever community meal from 6-7:45pm. Bring a dish to share, swap recipes, and try some of the honey from the library's very own bee hives.
JPNA’s monthly meeting is at 7pm at the Jeffries Point Yacht Club.
The next Tech Goes Home class is from 6-8pm at Maverick Landing on Tuesday, November 14th.
There will be a Tuesday night beginners yoga class at 6pm.
The Friends of Belle Isle Marsh, Mothers Out Front and Air, Inc. present "Local and State Leadership on Climate Change in the Trump Era" at 7pm at the Orient Heights Yacht Club.
Also at 7pm is Cunard Tavern’s monthly beer dinner.
The next Women Creating Recycled Art workshop is on Wednesday, November 15th, from 9-11:30am. This will also be on Friday, November 17th.
There is a site planning and public workshop at Suffolk Downs from 9:30am-12pm.
EBNHC’s monthly baby shower is from 12-1pm.
The JPNA planning and zoning meeting is at 7pm at the Jeffries Point Yacht Club.
The next Small Business Center workshop will be from 4-7:30pm at the library on Thursday, November 16th.
The next yoga and running series will be from 6:45-8:45pm at The Point EB.
There is free homework help for all BPS students at the library on Monday-Thursday afternoons from 3:30-5:30pm. This will run all school year (minus holidays and vacations) until May 24, 2018.
Every Tuesday through November is the basic computer course in Spanish. This is an hour long class from 10:30-11:30am.
Every Tuesday the East Boston Soup Kitchen serves free lunch from 12-2pm and dinner from 4-7pm. Now that the cold weather is upon us, this is a great way to spread the word and enjoy a nice warm meal. All are welcome.
