Weekend Events: November 3rd Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! I hope everyone had a super fun Halloween! We trick-or-treated around Jeffries Point and I have to say it was AWESOME! So many families out and about, so many generous people handing out candy and books, so much fun! Now we’re onto November and I can’t believe it, eeeek. Anywho, take a look at what we have going on this weekend.
The next multicultural Friday film at the library is today at 3pm. Showing will be PG + PG-13 movies that celebrate immigrants and countries around the world.. And popcorn will be served!
The Savio alumni memorial mass starts at 7pm tonight at the Salesians. This is to honor the memory of all deceased alumni.
Also starting at 7pm is the East Boston High School’s Harvest Homecoming Fundraiser. Although this is being held at the Beachmond VWF in Revere, I wanted to mention it given that is it to support Eastie High.
As part of the 2017 Boston Blooms with Daffodils Program, there will be a planting of the bulbs gathering starting at Belmont Sq. at 8:30am tomorrow, November 4th.
The 2017 Family Health Fair is from 9am-4pm at the East Boston Social Center. There will be health care education, family activities, and more!
Running on both Saturday and Sunday is the barre teacher training at The Point EB. This two-day training will be from 9am-5pm.
The next harbor clean-up is from 10-11am at the Condor St. Urban Wild.
The November Classes for a Cause start on Saturday from 12-1pm at The Point EB. This month the donation-based classes benefit Namastay Sober.
The Hipster Olympics begins at KO Pies in the Shipyard at 1pm. Games include Sumo Wrestling, Cornhole, Bucket Pong, Polish Horseshoes, etc!
The Silent. Silence. Silenced exhibit at Atlantic Works Gallery opens tomorrow at 6pm. This exhibit will be running through the end of November.
On Monday, November 6th, the Fresh Truck Mobile Food Market will be down Maverick Square from 4-7pm.
The next learn to knit classes at the library will be from 6-7:30pm.
HVNA’s monthly meeting will be at the East Boston Yacht Club at 7pm.
The City of Boston’s general election is on Tuesday, November 7th, so get out and vote! Polls are open from 7am-8pm.
The first Tech Goes Home class is from 6-8pm at Maverick Landing.
The next Women Creating Recycled Art workshop is on Wednesday, November 8th, from 9-11:30am. This will also be on Friday, November 10th.
The EVFA is hosting their next New Moms Breakfast on Thursday, November 9th, at 10am.
The next Small Business Center workshop will be from 4-7:30pm at the library.
The Friends of the East Boston Library’s monthly meeting will be at 6:30pm at the library.
The next yoga and running series will be from 6:45-8:45pm at The Point EB.
