Weekend Events: October 5th Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! Wishing everyone a safe Columbus Day weekend and a great start to October! Check out what events we have going on this weekend.
The Fair Foods $2 Bags of Produce will be available at the EBNHC from 2:30-4pm today. Remember, this is a first-come, first-serve, CASH ONLY event.
The next Yu-Gi-Oh club for teens at the library is from 1-4pm on Saturday, October 6th.
There will be Tea & Talk on the Greenway from 3-6pm. Enjoy music while sipping tea and talking with your Eastie neighbors! This event will run weekly through November.
The 4th Annual Dia del Maiz is from 3-7pm ALSO on the Greenway. There will be music and of course a corn fest!
Cunard Tavern is hosting their first Oktoberfest on Sunday, October 7th from 1-7pm.
The next Fresh Truck Food (Mobile) Market will be down Maverick Square from 3-6pm on Monday, October 8th.
The EBNHC is hosting a free salary negotiation workshop from 6-8pm.
The next Power of Parenting workshop at the EBSC is from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, October 9th. Parents of children ages 3-8 are welcome to come together with other local parents to learn new and fun ways to support your child's learning and growth!
The next Recycled Art Workshop is from 11am-1pm.
The next Tech Goes Home workshop is from 12:30-2:30pm at the library. This will meet again on Thursday.
JPNA’s monthly meeting is at 7pm.
There is a public meeting regarding 144 Addison Street at 6pm at the Salesians on Wednesday, October 10th.
The next Wednesday night Zumba class at the Marty Pino Gym will run from 6:30-7:30pm.
The Alighieri School is hosting a FUNDrive at 2pm on Thursday, October 11th. They are accepting unused clothes and/or household items. The drive will also be open for donations from 7-9pm on Friday.
The Columbus Day Parade is in Eastie this year! It will kick off at 1pm on Sunday at Suffolk Downs.
BPS Walk to School Day is on Wednesday, October 10th. All BPS students are encouraged to walk or bike safely to school!
The new exhibit at Atlantic Works Gallery, Invasive Species, is now on display. The opening reception is Saturday from 6-9pm and then gallery hours will run from 2-6pm every Friday and Saturday through the end of the month.
