Happy Friday, Eastie!  And happy LONG weekend (well, for many of us)!  Take a look below at our new events for the weekend.



Tonight from 5:30-7:30pm is a meet and greet with Boston City Council candidate Ayanna Pressley.

Tomorrow, October 7th, starting at 10am is a Stand with Stephen event with Boston City Council candidate Stephen Passacantilli.

Starting tomorrow and running every Saturday in October from 12-1pm is the $5 community yoga class at The Point EB.

On Sunday, October 8th, the next East Boston Open Market will be held from 11am-4pm.

The Point EB is hosting a Let it Fall Away session - a yoga and meditation session on how to let go of things - from 2-4pm.

On Monday, October 9th, the Fresh Truck Mobile Food Market will be down Maverick Square from 4-7pm.  This will be stationed there on Monday afternoons all this fall.

The East Boston Chamber of Commerce and East Boston Main Streets are hosting a breakfast with Congressman Capuano at Spinelli’s on Tuesday, October 10th, from 7:30-9am.

On Thursday, October 12th, The Point EB is hosting two events.  The first is Barre & Brew - a barre class followed by a tasting event at Down East Cider House.  The second is the start of a six week yoga and running event - a run through Eastie followed by a yoga class.

I also wanted to make note that Sam Adams Elementary is hosting a hoodie drive for children affected by the hurricane in Texas.  Please help and drop off hoodies through the month of October!
