Weekend Events: September 29th Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! It is OFFICIALLY feeling like fall out there and I LOVE IT! I hope everyone has a great weekend. Take a look below to see the events we have going on this weekend.
The next multicultural Friday film is 3pm today, September 29th, at the library.
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, community members will be gathering tonight at 6:30pm to enjoy local Latino cuisine, popcorn, and good company while watching a film honoring Latinos.
From 7-8:30pm at The Point EB is the Essential Oils Workshop. This is a great introduction to oils for anyone interested in learning more.
The last Classes for a Cause donation-based yoga class is from 12-1pm at The Point EB on Saturday, September 30th. The proceeds benefit the East Boston Soup Kitchen.
The Belle Isle Harvest Festival is Sunday, October 1st, at Belle Isle Marsh. This is from 1-3pm and is a free family event. There will be live animals, pumpkin decorating, etc!
On Monday, October 2nd, the Fresh Truck Mobile Food Market will be down Maverick Square from 4-7pm. This will be stationed there on Monday afternoons all this fall.
From 5-8pm at the library is Needle Felting 101. Learn the basics of needle felting and take home your very own finished craft!
On Wednesday, October 4th, the library is hosting a Memory Cafe. This cafe is a safe, supportive and engaging environment for those directly affected by or touched by memory loss. Caregivers must accompany participants.
From 2-7pm is the East Boston Community Blood Drive. Please support this worthwhile community event sponsored by St. Joseph's + St. Lazarus Church.
The City Hall To-Go Cart will be at Wood Island from 12-2pm on Thursday, October 5th.
Don’ forget, work by artists Perla Castaneda and Kristen Freitas is currently on display at Atlantic Works Gallery.
